Dr. McWilliams
Since graduating from Saint Mary’s College in 1999 with a BA in Print Journalism and a minor in Government, my path has dipped into many different worlds. At Colorado State University, I earned a Masters in Anatomy and Physiology in 2007, Masters in Business Administration in 2009, and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. I then completed a 1 year internship in small animal medicine at the Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center. I became passionate about orthopedic surgery early on in veterinary school, and ultimately became master TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) certified in 2012.
My extensive experience in veterinary medicine helps me recognize veterinary medicine as a compassionate people oriented business. As a doctor, my goal is to offer clients the finest care available by executing “best practices” through evidence based medicine. My life-time objective is to help improve the quality of life for all animals – and their owners.
“My mother used to say that ‘the only unconditional love in this world comes from pets – and sometimes your parents,’ and I couldn’t think of better use of my life then to provide support for the animals that yield quality love.” Dr. McWilliams
