Dr. Groff
Dr. Galen Groff has been with Chuckanut Feline Center since 2020. Her special interests include feline endocrine disease, dentistry, and preventative care for senior and geriatric patients. The highlight of every day for Dr. Groff is meeting each new cat and seeing the unique bond between our pet parents and the small furry cats that run our homes.
Dr. Groff is a newer Washingtonian who took a trip to the Pacific Northwest to see what it was all about and fell in love! Before that, she attended the University of California, Davis and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology as well as a minor in Art History. After graduation she spent time fostering orphaned squirrels at a wildlife rehabilitation center and tube-feeding baby elephant seals. She then returned to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Groff grew up with dogs, cats, chickens, and hamsters and has even been a self-proclaimed cat lady since the age of 5. This means for years, every birthday and Christmas gift has been cat-themed. With a passion of fear-free preventative care that focuses on the human-animal bond, she is proud to be a part of the Chuckanut veterinary family.
Outside the office you can find Dr. Groff anywhere there is nature, discovering new hiking trails and staring up at trees to look for birds. She loves practicing yoga and trying new breweries. Her home is run by her trio of cats – Rossi, Princess, and Mulan – whose favorite activity is drooling on faces!
