Dr. Pecaro
Dr. Lauren Pecaro was born and raised in South Florida before moving to the Pacific Northwest in 2010. She completed her Bachelor of Science in General Biology with a minor in Education, Learning, and Society at the University of Washington and she completed her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University.
Dr. Pecaro joined Chuckanut Valley Veterinary Clinic in February of 2025. Previously, she practiced as a veterinarian in Seattle, Washington and most recently in Mount Vernon, Washington. Dr. Pecaro is a proud Skagit Valley resident and has called the valley her home since 2022. She is thrilled to be a member of the fantastic team at Chuckaunt Valley Veterinary Clinic! Her interests include Greyhound/Sighthound medicine, feline medicine, soft tissue surgery, strengthening the Human-Animal-Bond, behavioral medicine, exotic animals and pocket pets, dermatology, and parasitology.
In her spare time, Dr. Pecaro enjoys spending time on the ocean, hiking, figure skating, running, cooking, painting, crafting, playing piano, reading, tending to her many house plants, and listening to music on her record player. She and her partner, Chris, are proud owners of a sweet retired racing Greyhound, Tonks and two rescue kitties, Hootie and Misty.
Dr. Pecaro is very excited to continue to serve the Skagit Valley and beyond as the medical director at Chuckanut Valley Veterinary Clinic.
