Appointment Policy

To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Like humans, animals do not synchronize their illnesses with an appointment book and procedures can sometimes take longer than planned, so an occasional appointment delay can occur. Additionally, emergency cases shall always receive top priority potentially causing an appointment delay, too.

Although we care for pets primarily by appointment, walk-ins are accommodated and will be seen as time allows.

For your convenience, Admit Appointments are available. An "Admit” means you can bring your pet in at the time that works best for you and leave him/her with us for a partial day. Usually we will ask you to admit sometime in the morning so our doctors can examine the patient in between appointments or at the time purposely reserved for admitted patients. At the time of admit, you will communicate your concerns with a technician and sign an Admit Form allowing us to examine and treat as necessary. Once the doctor is done examining, he/she will give you a call to go over the diagnosis and to discuss a treatment plan and any discharge instructions.

For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about other pets and their new environment. This is one of the reasons we ask you to safely restrain your pet. We require that your animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the waiting room. We have cardboard carriers for smaller pets available for use if necessary.

Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time. To help ensure this is achieved, we ask that you arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment time for check-in paperwork to be completed.
